Anshinkan Dojo is Now Located at Martial Arts Unlimited

Our dojo is located at Martial Arts Unlimited in Clawson, MI. We offer classes in Yoshinkai Aikido, American Kenpo Karate, Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan and youth Aikido (ages 8-13 years).

At the Anshinkan we are proud to present classes in Yoshinkai Aikido, Parker Kenpo Karate and Yang family Tai Chi. Aikido, Karate and Tai Chi complement each other and training in all three styles will greatly increase your understanding of the martial arts. Although we encourage our students to cross-train in all three styles, each style may be taken as a separate class.

Marcus Schoon Renshi

Awarded the teaching title of Renshi (Senior Instructor) in October 2002, in Yoshinkai Aikido from Kevin Blok Kyoshi, Chudokan Dojo, Windsor, Ontario and holds an international teaching license from Japan.

• Yondan (4th Degree Black Belt) in Yoshinkai Aikido.

• Sandan (3rd Degree Black Belt) in American Kenpo Karate.

• Level 4 (copper tiger) in Traditional Yang style Tai Chi Chuan. Awarded the title "Certified Instructor" by the International Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan Association.

Brett Blanchard Sensei

• Awarded the teaching title of Shidoin (advanced instructor) in 1985 in Yoshinkai Aikido from Kushida Takeshi Sensei, Genyokan Dojo, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

• Shodan (first degree black belt) in Yoshinkai Aikido.

• Brown Belt member of Central Michigan University Judo Team 1978-1980.

• Currently studying Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan, American Kenpo, Yoshinkai Aikido, Zen meditation and Hatha Yoga.

• Trained in many martial styles including Yue Jia Kung Fu (8 years), Krav Maga, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Savate, Silat, Isshin Ryu Karate, Shotokan Karate.
